The Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit is the largest high-level multilateral event on green growth hosted by Vietnam during the 2021–2026 period. This event reflects Vietnam’s strong commitment, proactive role, and sense of international responsibility within the P4G framework as well as in global efforts to promote green growth and sustainable development.

As one of the seven founding members and official partners of P4G, Vietnam is hosting this high-level summit for the first time, marking an important milestone in the country's integration process and active contribution to global issues.

Under the theme “Sustainable Green Transition – Putting People at the Center,” the P4G 2025 Summit takes place in Hanoi from April 16–17, 2025, gathering over 1,000 delegates from 46 countries and international organizations. Attendees include the Prime Ministers of Laos and Ethiopia, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, the UN Deputy Secretary-General, along with ministers, leaders of international organizations, scholars, experts, and global businesses.

The summit program features various key activities such as: the Green Growth Exhibition, Opening Ceremony, High-level Thematic Sessions, a Business-Leader Dialogue themed “Public-Private Partnership for Innovation and Sustainable Development” chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and participating heads of state, and the Closing Ceremony.

In addition, ministerial-level sessions are held on the following key topics:

  • Innovative finance and strategies to mobilize resources for global green growth (chaired by the Minister of Finance)

  • Embracing the Green Revolution 4.0: Transforming food systems for a sustainable future (chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Environment)

  • Breakthrough technologies for green transition and sustainable development (chaired by the Minister of Science and Technology)

  • Investing in people – Building the workforce for the future economy (chaired by the Minister of Education and Training)

  • Innovative solutions for efficient and sustainable energy transition (chaired by the Minister of Industry and Trade)

Since its inception in Copenhagen in 2018, the P4G Summit has established itself as one of the world’s leading platforms for enhancing public-private partnerships, connecting governments, businesses, and civil society to identify breakthrough solutions for green growth, contributing to the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

Vietnam’s hosting of the fourth P4G Summit not only affirms its contribution to global efforts for green growth and sustainable development but also accelerates the implementation of international commitments on climate change mitigation, emissions reduction, and growth model transformation. It mobilizes international resources for green and digital transformation, scientific and technological advancement, and innovation—supporting Vietnam’s development goals in a new era and enhancing its role and position in multilateral cooperation mechanisms.
